Learn to Meditate for the Workplace
Training the mind towards focus, balance, and insight supports individuals, enhances interpersonal relationships, and positively impacts the vibrancy and culture of the work environment itself.
In this program, participants will be taken step-by-step through techniques that will allow them to incorporate meditation into their daily life, and experience its many benefits in and out of the workplace. Participants will learn how to: reduce tension and stress; feel happier and more relaxed; and improve their health, mental clarity and focus. Participants will also be introduced to the foundations of a meditation practice and techniques for paying attention to present-moment experiences, which helps participants to build a better foundation for communication and relationships (both personal and professional).
Why incorporate meditation and mindfulness into your company’s wellness initiatives?
Businesses of all types have embraced the fact that the wellbeing of their employees improves the health of the company. An increasing percentage of large US companies have launched stress reduction programs of some sort, and many of those are also incorporating mindfulness and meditation trainings. In fact, mindfulness is being praised as the next great thing in the efforts to improve the performance, health and overall wellbeing of employees.
According to the Gallup Business Journal, wellbeing is an employer issue. By the numbers, they reported:
- Businesses with employees who have thriving wellbeing have a 35% lower turnover rate than those who are struggling;
- Businesses with employees with high wellbeing have 41% lower health-related costs compared with employees who have lower wellbeing. In a firm that has 10,000 employees, this difference amounts to nearly $30 million.

Learn to Meditate for Teachers
Learn to develop the fundamental skills for meditation and acquire skills to cope with stress in and out of the classroom. Throughout this course, teachers will explore and learn several different meditation techniques. Participants will be asked and encouraged to maintain a daily meditation practice for the duration of the course. Developing their own practice will give participants the experiential foundation to change themselves and impact their lives and their classroom(s).
The meditation practices that we will focus on do not require any religious interpretations or commitments. Each class will have at least two periods of meditation. Learning how to meditate inspires a teacher’s desire to reconnect and refuel!
“At its highest level, the purpose of teaching is not to teach — it is to inspire the desire for learning. Once a student’s mind is set on fire, it will find a way to provide its own fuel.”Sydney J. HarrisAsk about a Teachers Workshop at your school
